What are the application requirements?

Webster Leiden Campus’s Immigration Coordinator will take care of your student residence permit application. However, please note that we can only do so if you meet the following requirements:

• you have a valid passport
• you have been admitted to a full-time program
• you can demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses (900 EUR monthly allowance for living expenses) next to at least one year’s tuition costs.

How to Apply

• Application Form: The application process begins with the submission of your online application form.
• Please note that applicants are required to submit a number of supplemental documents to support their application as well.

• Acceptance: After having an intake interview and receiving your completed application package, the Admissions Committee will make a formal acceptance decision. Your admissions representative will then contact you to share the results of the decision and, if you are accepted, an official acceptance package will be sent to you.

• Enrollment and Tuition Deposit: In order to confirm your enrollment, register for classes, and begin arrangements for any immigration process (if applicable), Webster Leiden Campus requests students to submit a confirmation deposit.

Graduate Applicants

1. Submit the Online Application Form.

2. Finalize the Application Submission with the payment of the Application Fee

3. Upload required documentation (supplemental items), see list below:

• A copy of your passport’s biographical page, plus any current residence permit or visa for the Netherlands. Please inform us if we need to apply for your visa/resident permit.

• Copy of a recent CV or Resume
• Letter of motivation (one page) stating why you want to pursue the program and how it ties into your current career or future professional goals
• Certified copies of your Bachelor level transcripts
• One letter of recommendation (only for MA in Psychology applicants)

4. Interview: Admissions Department will schedule an interview if the applicant satisfies all requirements.

5. Acceptance: The Admissions Committee will make a formal acceptance decision. Your admissions representative will then contact you to share the results of the decision and, if you are accepted, an official acceptance package will be sent to you, including a scholarship application, if applicable.

Students are billed for each individual course in which they register. Rates per course are the same for full-time and part-time study. Please note that books for graduate courses are included in the tuition fee.

The deposit amount for students are as below:

– International students outside of EU, requiring MVV: €10,000

*In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deposit for non-EU students requiring MVV has been lowered from €10.000 to € 8100.
These changes are applicable for the Spring I & Spring II, Fall I 2021 terms only.

• Registration: Once your payment has been received and registration for courses opens, you will be contacted by your Academic Advisor for registration. If you are in need of a student visa to enter the Netherlands, your visa process will also start at this time.

Required Documents

• Official transcripts of the last 3 years of your secondary and all post-secondary education with certified English translations by an official translator of all documents in languages other than English.

Important: Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better (out of 4.0) on all previous academic work. The admissions office will assess your GPA equivalent.

• All applicants are asked to submit a 400-500-word essay on a topic of their choice. Most students take this opportunity to state why they would like to study at Webster University. You may also describe a special area of interest, experience or achievement. Additionally, you may also submit a resume of relevant academic, extracurricular and professional experience.

• Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or volunteer supervisor who are able to comment on your strengths and ability to be a successful undergraduate student.

Undergraduate Freshman Applicants

Important note: Any documentation submitted to Webster University during the application process becomes the sole property of Webster University and will not be returned to the student. Please do not submit original documentation, but certified copies of those original documents.

In order to certify transcripts from an academic institution, please have the issuing institution or the country’s Ministry of Education officially stamp a copy of the document. Notary stamps are not acceptable. Please contact the admissions department for further instruction about certifying documents.

MBA

MBA students will be charged a tuition fee of €2,280 per 3-credit-hour course. The complete MBA program consists of twelve 3-credit courses. Depending on the student’s background, up to three pre-MBA courses and/or a graduate English language writing course may also be required. Pre-MBA courses cost €2,280 each.

Management & Leadership

Students in the Management & Leadership Program will be charged a tuition fee of €2,280 per 3-credit-hour course. The complete MBA program consists of twelve 3-credit courses.

MA in International Relations

Students in the MA in International Relations program will be charged a tuition fee of €1,710 per 3-credit-hour course. The INTL program consists of twelve 3-credit courses in total.

MA in Psychology with emphasis in Counseling Psychology

Students in the Counseling Psychology program will be charged a tuition fee of €1,785 per 3-credit-hour course. The program consists of sixteen 3-credit courses in total.

Online Courses

Graduate-level online courses for all programs are €2,400 per 3-credit-hour course.

Please note that we charge an extra fee for credit card payments: 3.75% of the transaction amount for credit card payments at the Business Office and 5% of the transaction amount for credit card payments remotely. These extra fees are only an estimate; the actual bank fees will be charged to your student account.

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal Application here. Your application (file) must be complete by March 1 for maximum consideration. Applications completed after March 1 will be awarded from remaining funds. Student loan applications are accepted throughout the academic year. However, early application is encouraged. The Webster University FAFSA code is 002521.

Please note that the financial aid procedure is administrated solely by the Webster University Financial Aid office in St. Louis, Missouri, USA after an acceptance letter has been granted. A Financial Aid Officer is assigned to all eligible students.

Once all information is received by the Financial Aid Office in St. Louis, you will receive an award letter in the mail. Award information is also available on Webster University’s website under your Connections login.

Please note financial aid is not disbursed until after your studies begin. You must arrange your own funding for travel and living costs for at least one to two months after the beginning of your study.
